A bit loud then lol and obviously the notch has to be done if you raise the engine because the driveshaft rubbing issue will become greater and other than that the only problem I had was when I raised it was a metal pipe on the throttle body was hitting the bonnet which has dented it but I still havn't sorted that yet and trimmed the engine cover as it was hitting my strut brace but don't know much about your engine layout to help so make sure that the engine can be lifted without causing any problems shutting the bonnet or the downpipe hitting the floor, its up to you if you do it or not but obviously you'll have to accept reponsibilty for any problems you cause by doing the mods as people will no doubt say its not a good idea but I don't generally care what people think so if you do it,then good luck and be aware that been a bit lower will make your subframe hit the tarmac on slightly uneven or cambered roads

yea very loud :) yea a place in leeds called skoda land told me to raise engine to go lower but i thought it wud make scrubbing worse but dint say out to them cos they are neva wrong haha. did you not have any isues with the exhaust beeing higher and touching the chassis anywer?? yea had the cambered road problem before on my old polo :( what did you use to plate the notch up with. thank you for all your help with this too. alot of people would not have time for telling people what they have done haha. are you on big fat tour this year??

Had no issues with downpipe hitting the floor on mine but with yours been a different engine it may be worthwhile having a look underneath first and not sure on what was used to plate the hole as I didn't do that part, could of been 2-3mm plate shaped around the holesaw I used and then he popped into the notch and welded around it :) and don't reckon I'll do the actual tour this year but I'll probably go to york for the meet up at the end but I'll decide closer to the date

suupose if you only moving it a few mm its not a big change. how much did you raise your engine?? did you just cut a hole out on one drivers side for the shaft to sit in?? can you remember what size the hole saw piece was??

Yes you should be ok but its worth checking first :) and I had the spacers made for me and went for 20mm but there is a lad on edition38 called steve mcscene that sells them and he does 15mm ones and 25mm ones and mine is only notched on the drivers side currently as passenger side generally has more clearance but some people who run lower do notch the passenger side too but by that height you need to notch for the steering arms and can't remember what size hole saw I used but possibly around the 3” region but just measure the thickness of your driveshaft and go from there, hope this helps :)

i would just like to drop another inch on the front to be hones to try get away from the huge arch gap that i have at the moment. bit mad when you think about it what people do just to go low haha :) gunna have a look at it this week end and see how i get on :) thank you.

Well good luck and hope you achieve the lows you require without too much work :)

thank you mate :) i will let you know when or if i sort it :) and i should see you about. ben
