Aye not compulsory in UK yet, 2014 I think will become compulsory that's why most if not all marques are installing as standard

Yes they are, DRL's are now compulsory - as of February this year.

One point worth mentioning is that DRL's are only compulsory on new models not brand new versions of an existing model.

The reason DRL's are being fitted to current models is they are seen (as this thread proves) as an attractive feature and will likely influence sales.

I like this idea. wave like you have officially lost the plot. haha!

On - and I got flashed again tonight - didn't even have my headlights on, so it was obvious they weren't bloody fogs! :dull:

That's what amuses me. I don't know of many (if any) modern cars where you can have the fogs on without the lights...

Are you assuming that these flashers are capable of applying logic?

So really, I should have them on? Odd that I have the option to turn them off lol.

The have to be built with DRL's but it is not a legal requirement to have them on in GB. I have mine on and get the occasional flash from someone who has no idea and they are staying on.
