Hi guys,

Ive noticed the square metal clamp that holds the battery in place is very rusty and i should really fit a new one. Without going to the stealers (30+ miles for me) has anyone bought one online? If so where from?

just take it out, clean it up, respray it black and refit !

you're right...that's a solid piece of steel ,can't be entirely rusted

clean and respray would do the job smoothly

Cleaned and resprayed mine, and it just rusted again anyway. It was very rusty in the first place though.

Ended up replacing it with a new item from the dealer. The new one has some sort of additional bracket tabs on it, and seems to be holding up much better. I could find the part number if you want....

Try some hammerite.

Unless it is only cheap from the dealer, which saves messing about.
