Throttle body for NON-INJECTION Felicia

Featured Replies

Hi there.

My Dads old 1.3 Felicia apparently needs a new throttle body.

I may have located one for him, but it is off a '99.

His is '95, and I believe in '97 the 1.3 was kitted with fuel injection.

Will, therefore, the throttle body off a '99 fit and be OK for a '95??

Suspect not, but advice/answer appreciated.

Regards,

Martin.

If your Dad's car hasn't got fuel injection, then it's is a carburettor you need, not a throttle body.

However, I've never seen a carb-fed Felicia in the UK, so although I could be wrong, I suspect that your mixing up the throttle body for the single-point injection felicia, and the post-97 Multi-point injection ones. As far as I know, the TB's are different between the two models.

Cheers

James

yeah, what he said. And the TBs are different for the MPi and SPi ones - they look completely different.

Post a pic of your current one and we can tell you...

Cant get a pic, as he is in Middlesbrough with no computer, and I am in Cambs!

I saw somewhere that 94-97 models were 1.3, and 97 - 2001 were 1.3i, hence my confusion. Would the 95 therefore be MPi or SPi?

Thanks for the quick replies!

All Felicias sold in the UK were fuel injected and had catalysts (except the 1.9D). Early models were single point injection, so you will need a single point injection throttle body. SPi's also used plug leads & not coil packs.
