Broken Rear Brake Hose

Featured Replies

I stupidly missed the caliper then hitting it with a mallet and snapped a rear brake hose where it fits into the caliper. (Replacing rear discs & pads)

Please tell me the hoses are easy to replace?? I can't see a nut or anything to undo? The standard brake hose looks like it's been clamped to the solid brake lines...

Is this a dealer job? :(

Yes the flex hose from the caliper is clamped to the rigid line...but there is a join for that behind the rear axle pivot bush where the solid line joins another flexi line!! So just order the complete part (flexi to solid ) from local dealer...the fitting for the solid to the flexi behind the pivot bush is just like on the front!!! B)

I've got to get to work Monday... does anyone know where I can get this part today/tomorrow?

Eurocarparts are closed on Sundays :(

Vw garage/dealers. That's where I got mine from. They supply the 2 sides.

Been there done that and **** myself when it happened.
