Front Window HELP

Featured Replies

Hello,

I was driving today then all off a sudden i heard a loud bang noise coming from the passenger side, firstly i thought it was a rock fliped into the bottom of the car, i looked around and couldnt find anything, But then my passenger window when trying to use it had a horrible grinding noise and the window just dropped down, It is now pulled back up but lifts up and down with your hand no resistance for the workings..

Any idea's Thanks.

The window regulator will have broken.

They're quite simple to replace, and repair kits are available for about £20, but you may find that the door carrier is rivited on to the door, meaning it has to be drilled out to get to it.

EDIT: here is the guide to sorting it

Would mine be the same problem as my window moves freely up and down...

If its a grinding noise, the plastic clip will have broken, meaning the cable came loose and it's now just spinning around catching itself.

You should do. I got mine off eBay, and it came with new cable and clips.
