weird steering noise! vrs se...please help

Featured Replies

Mines lowered on eibachs and iv got some 17s, iv noticed tonight a noise when u first pull the wheel in either direction when stationary! Again no warning lights on the dash! Steering feels as its always done it seems perfect just this weird wurring sound, from outside it doesn't sound any different at all, almost as if the noise is from behind the dash? Cars got all new bushes on the front end and new drop links. Any ideas??

it sounds like the pump to be honest, but from the outside it sounds fine! nothing more than that high pitched feint whistle it makes. from inside its like if u grab the wheel in one direction or the other its like a grinding/wurring, then it goes silent again if you keep turning it! wheres the power steering res? ill check the level!

Its not handy to get at it's under the battery unlikely that it's leaky tho you would have a shiney under tray if it is...
