EcuTek for Skoda??

Featured Replies

Is there a similar product available to the EcuTek for the Octavia?

For those who don't know what EcuTek is, its a digital data display/logger for a Scoob, see www.ecutek.com for more info

VAG-COM does many of those features and is alot faster than normal OBD-II if you get the genuine USB cable. Also Forge do a product that looks very similair to the one in your link. James from JBS has one in his Octavia, however it doesn't seem to be listed on the revamped site.

You tried contacting them direct?

Lemmiwinks pretty much does everything V-tune does after quickly looking at that thread. It's also free and works with any tuners software or even on a standard ECU (won't let you increase boost over standard).

Eddy, is it just a question of downloading and running the programme on a laptop which is connected to the car's diagnostic socket?

Yep, just download it and connect up using a vagcom cable. There's some good instructions written by the Revo team over on seatcupra net.

Thanks, Eddy That's where I found the programme. I've printed off the instructions and other info on adaptation channels.

Any real gains to be had will be seen with timing adjustment for colder weather/better fuel. Any adjustments made should be checked afterwards by doing suitable logging to ensure the ECU isn't having to pull back excessively.
