That's a bit rubbish - ordered 7 weeks after you and its being built now :)

I bet you didn't spec those options though.

Nope, not all of those, half of them, but still - an extra 7 weeks and he has no build date!

Just came off the phone with Skoda Uk in relation to my VRS order ( placed Jan 15th initial build week 12 then 18 and now not known..... )

It was basically them saying that they're sales have gone up 25%, can't keep up and how great a position to be in for them it was.

Of course I strongly disagreed with him and told him it was ridiculous and I was told 'not a lot you can do but wait'

They're going to undo all that good work if they don't pull they're finger out.

I know if my car is not here by the end of June then I will be cancelling.

So if anyone fancies a red Vrs, climate and dark chrome alloys, place your order start of July and you'll get one quite quick !!

You'd be biting your nose off to spite your face if you cancel the order. We've all had to wait ages for our cars (admittedly some more than others) but thats just life. You'd think they'd operate some sort of first come first serve system but I guess building different variants with different colours and options makes that too difficult to achieve.

If you cancel you'll lose your deposit; also that your car is not built yet means it will be a 2012 MY which given the inclusion of the black pack and other tweaks probably isnt such a bad thing.

I agree that Skoda have bitten off more than they can chew; VAT deal has to be blamed as its responsible for the mass ordering which has been taking place. I know I wouldnt have bought the Fabia vRS without the discount.

Hi y'all

My beef was that Skoda who are famed for customer service basically had not contacted me in 5 months with out me having to phone first.

It is more not knowing than the wait itself. I'm in the lucky position that I have a 2 year old Renaultsport Clio Cup and still have warranty and no MOT to worry about.

I went to look at a Monte Carlo and the black lights don't look too bad, although the black lip on the bonnet looks a bit like hitlers moustache !!

I'm not going to cancel as I'm too far in and actually still really want the car !!!

Just hound your dealer, they are there to chase and take care of things for you. If that dont work go down there and have a word!

Aye, went down but they were pretty despondant too.

He said he had lost count of how many potential customers he had walk away from the showroom when he told them of 6 months wait.

That and all the p/x cars which are depreciating and losing him even more money.

Bless him he looked suicidal !
