Hi, I was just about to put a steering column from my old 1.3 petrol felly into my diesel truck (so that the locks match, the petrol doors are already on the truck). Now before I possibly waste all my time swaping only to find the petrol ignition is not compatible with the diesel I thought I'd ask if this is a straight swap??

Basically, is the ignition on the petrol the same as the diesel-will it work??

the ignition switch and lock are the same, but the steering columns are not... the non-pas and pas ones have a different size spline on the universal joint at the bottom so if your 1.3 column is from a car without power steering it wont fit

thanks, came off a pas car. I'm guessing is easier to swap columns rather than mess about swaping just the lock/ignition?
