FABIA OPTIONS

Featured Replies

Just been to dealer, just checking with mot due so that's tomorrow, but asked about the stuff that's getting deleted I.e optional extras!,salesmans monte just arrived and hey presto no parking sensors extra a lot of standard equipment going to bee optional, armrest climateonic air condition he wasn't to sure but such a bargain the fabia going to be over priced in the A1.range or standard 1series BMW

I remember saying that the head man at VW saying that the fabia was over specced and sales of the polo were being forced back, so this is what's happening the are removing the standard options so people will look at the polo as a better value for money

As if taking the VAT offer wasn't bad enough? =/

The 15% is still available but evenon the elegance parking sensors are deleted, apparently japan is an issue as well can't get then so VW and AUDi have priority

So even of you specced them at the moment I don't think it will arrive with them on

I was told that speccing parking sensors could take longer because there was a shortage of the parts. Think production of the actual sensors comes from Japan and because of the earthquakes etc. production has been massively hampered. I work in IT and was told a few of the Japanese brands are struggling to get products out as well. Also parts for iPhones apparently. Theres a lot of the world effected by this it would seem, not just Skoda and their parking sensors! :(

Aye hopefully the Japanese will be back on there feet, once again becoming a. Magic economy and help the world economy get back also, but shows you what vag thinks of skoda when the rest of the group have priority they are throwing everything at the A1

I personally think the A1 is an ugly little car? It's got no appeal as far as i'm concerned! Seen a few and just do not like it at all. Much rather have my VRs :)

I know most of us are biased on here but I much prefer the vRS. I hate the A1 and really can't see how people can justify the cost of one.

its not cost

its one upmanship :giggle: MUGs B)

Totally right! Why buy an A1? You could have SOO much more car for that money!

The VRS is just simply by far the most bang for buck you'll get and if i did have £23k or whatver an A1 costs, i'd certainly not be buying an A1!

It's not far off 26k with some options and the same engine as the vRS. If I had that sort of money to be spending on a car I'd be looking at 2nd hand Golf R's

Even though the car configurator shows as being down for maintainence from the main page on the Skoda Website I have managed to find a link that you can access it from:

http://cc.skoda-auto.com/gbr/Pages/step1.aspx

It appears as though it has been updated for the MY2012 changes as it is showing the option for Amundsen+ for the Sat Nav and Parking Sensors as an option for the Elegance Model.

Well the sat nav was an option anyway, but parking sensors being removed is a bit rich, what's the point of buying an elegance better buying an se and speccing up

Just noticed the IRC sticker is a no cost option for the vRS on the configurator

Agree about the sat nav being an option but is now showing Amundsen+ rather than just Amundsen and if memory serves me correctly from when I placed my order the price is the same even though it now comes with in built Bluetooth and internal storage for the maps.

Know this is slightly OT but the gloss black roofbars on the vRS estate do they come as standard or do you have to select them as an option? It's a no cost option on the configurator.

Must be a confused salesman. Those have always been extras on the Monte Carlo :S

All current MY11 orders are built to spec.

So if you have ordered an Elegance pre MY12 then it will come with parking sensors and all the other bits but they will show up on the order as Elegance + Optional Parking Sensors.

Any current order they cannot do will get a free upgrade, we specced 4 spoke MFSW with phone prep but this is not available MY12 so we will get the new uprated 3 Spoke MFSW with phone prep.

For MY12 SatNav is available as an option on "Some" models which is why you will see it on the configurator for some specs but not others.

Cheers

Yes Amundsen is now Bluetooth and Dab, but luckly I got the maps on disc , I thought however that you still need to use a sd card?, so the website configulator is having a update, when I specced my car it. Was at least £1,000 more expensive?

Sat nav (Amundsen) has built in memory for maps and bluetooth, dab is an additional module to the unit.

The RNS315 on the VW's were altered so you could still use the CD Player while using NAV. Some sites suggest the RNS315 has internal flash memory so the SD card slot and cd player are still available when Nav is in operation same as the Columbus RNS510. Not sure if the Amundsen+ has internal memory for maps.

At upgrade time you still need the new discs and then upload them as you do on the Columbus RNS510.

Our order is now listed as having "Media Storage Device" as an option, wonder if thats a flash card for the maps are a module that the SatNav uses.

Still need to confirm if the Amundsen+ comes with Bluetooth and Dab.

Cheers
