Moved to the UK - with my Octavia

Not really a new member (first registered 5 years ago!) but I recently moved to the UK and brought my Octavia 5 1.6MPI with me (actually it was the car that brought me here, but never mind!).

My car is still with greek plates however I did replace the headlights with UK-spec ones.

I now have to do switch the speedometer to mph and switch over the rear fog light in order to get UK plates...

If anyone has been through this before please share your knowledge!

Welcome.

Rear fog is easy, its just a case of altering the cars ECU programming to switch the other one on since both are wired anyway. Speedo to MPH, send a PM to shark_90 as he has done may a instrument cluster swap in his time.

My recent (non-Skoda) cars have given dashboard warnings when the battery in the key fob runs down. This gives the driver the opportunity to change the battery and to keep the key functional. The battery in my Superb's key fob recently ran down, and it went from fully operational (working the button "plip" as well as the keyless entry) to completely flat during the course of a day at work. Hi folks, I'm finding the steering feel of the Superb somewhat lifeless, vague and far too light. Looking for your help to see what I can do to improve it Having owned 3 other VAG's (2 x Golf R's and 1 x Golf Alltrack) I'm used to the lack of steering feedback however, the Superb is the worst so far. Very confused and apologies if covered elsewhere but can't find it... looking to get a towbar fitted for caravan towing and an independent towbar company is warning about coding and about the rear emergency braking kicking in and not letting me reverse with the caravan in place. Another has said they can fit a towbar but I'd need to take it to a dealer to get it coded. I've contacted my local skoda dealer and they've quoted £1900 for a towbar to be fitted!!
