Owners Manual and other queries

Featured Replies

Hi got my new Roomster SE DSG yesterday.

Looking through the manual it seems that there are options for day lighting and tourist light (headlight adjustment for the other side of the road) but the manual is not specific as to which models have this functionality - anyone know or is there a more detailed web based model specific manual? Big trip abroad coming up and will be taking out the rear seats and putting in 2 bikes - what model boot liner will avoid the inevitable oil and other dirt?

I have seen on the web various priced roof bars from £25 upwards - anyone got any words of warning or advice? rood rails already fitted.

Thanks

I am pretty sure daylighting should be available on your model, just have a look at the plastic cover at the lower right side of the dasboard, remove it and see if there is a dedicated switch. I do not know about tourist light, just try what is written in the manual and you will see if it works emoticon-0144-nod.gif

Roof bars - I saw that good aluminium roof bars (roughly) cost as much as Skoda originals, and they come with locks (eg. Automaxi, the specialist of roof bars and bike carriers). You can save some money buying simpler products or iron instead of aluminium.

Mine is the base model called "Style" in Greece and it is a mixture of S and SE UK's variant. In my car there is no switch at the place Lorenzo refered to but my headlights can be used like day running lights via VCDS coding. On the other hand if your car is equipped with fog lights then the switch must be there.

As for the tourist lights you should ask your dealer. That's what my manual says.
