Hello and Welcome:D

What Skoda do you drive and where abouts in the country are you?

hi and welcome to the site :)

To answer some of your questions:

Are they loud with a decent stainless.

I had a cat-back system on my old one and although 'fruity' it wasn't in yer face boy racer loud. Can't comment on a de-cat one though I'm afraid...

Turob back system is deeper still and a little louder. Decat is louder especially with a CAI.

Hi Hotrodda. Stop faffing about and get one bought. I know we are all a bit bias but we can't all be wrong. The Octy vRS is a great car even without considering the great value. :D

oh aye, welcome by the way. ;)

Buy my one!!!!

don't buy a beamer cos the car in front will be a skoda and it will cost 10 grand less:woohoo: .

the choice is,at the end of the day your own.i didn't even consider a bmw as an option, when looking for a new car,as most that fitted the bill were far too expensive/old/high mileage.

i have 2 small children so 4 doors were what i needed, also with 2 kids a decent boot was a must,9month old comes with pram so this was essential.

i wanted something with good performance as i have been known to venture onto the odd trackday,so an easily tuned engine was also something i looked for.

the 20vt in the vrs fitted the bill for me,has the boot space/space for my family looks the part.and so far reliabilty is very good.

if whooshy dump valves are you bag then don't bother, not good for engine life.

like i said, your choice, but if you do choose the vrs you'll be vary happy i'm sure.

especially after between 4-500 quid on a remap.would you be able to get 40 bhp and torque,is that possible in a beemer??

Running skodas for some ten years now! no worries cant complain! In my market, it is the most affordable european car! and worth every last penny (NEW) spent!

Hello and Welcome:D

What Skoda do you drive and where abouts in the country are you?

Just sold my golf vr6 and left with my peugeot 306 turbo diesel untill i decide what i'm actually going to buy i live in kent near canterbury.

My Octy is still for sale hotrodda, looking for

Or you could opt for a REAL vRS :D

Err ...............

Steve :D

Welcome hotrodda. Im also in Canterbury, but im afraid my Octy RS is standard so I can't really give you too much info on your queries or a test run on noise etc. There are a few people on here from the Medway area who have some "lightly modded" RSs who might be able to show you what can be done :D

BTw - what dealer have you spoken to? I've always used Caffyns in Ashford who are very good - never used Motorline in Canterbury yet as they are so new.

I've covered nearly 12,000 miles in mine without a problem. I'm extremely happy with it. Definitely the best car I've had - and I've had three Audis :-)

You know you want one... :D
