Seeing as my cam lobes are worn, I might as well see which ones are available

or once you get a cam with bigger lobes does it cause more trouble than its worth

The VRS cam has extra lobes for running the injector rockers, hence the narrower cams for the valves, as there is simply no room for wider cam lobes. It's a known weal spot on the PD engines, as the narrower lobes tend to eat bucket tappets due to lack of load spread. Not sure how you could use a different profile cam without a custom map to allow for longer valve timing, plus the electrical side of the injector timing would need to be altered as well.

If a camshaft with WIDER valve lobes is available I would go for it. If it's different PROFILE I would say it would get expensive.

Had uprated injectors and im guessing timing was advanced
