10,000 mile service?

Featured Replies

as the title says, I am right in saying its a 10k service right? so I can ignore the car saying service now?

I believe its 12months/10,000miles or whichever is sooner

Mine is at exactly the same stage.

Think it is because of 15000km which is 9320.56788 miles.

I am waiting till mine gets to 10000 miles to be honest.

Why wait?

I got mine done at 9k ish even though I'm on "time and distance".

As said by other member, 10,000 mies/ 12 months, (like the MK1 Fabia VRS) so suggest have it serviced when most convenient.

Leaving/ ignoring warning message will not damage anything, although probably you can cancel/clear message yourself (as we can on the MK1 Fabia VRS).

I was told thet the 10k is a guide on the Mark I, and it depends how it was driven? so it was likley to come on erlier if driven hard. No Idea if this was all lies to get more services in at the rate mine was asking for services it would have had 12 in 100k.

Isn't the Fabia available on variable servicing as well? Which is I think 18,000?

My car, albeit second hand, is on fixed servicing.

However, fixed servicing suits me as my mileage is under 10K per annum.

its on a fixed 10,000 or yearly service interval.

Not in the uk.

My 1.2TSI build date Aug 2010 is now on variable servicing. It was on fixed and came due at 9300 but when serviced and switched to variable it said Next Service in 18000. Two of my local dealers said Variable wasnt possible on the Fabia but the dealer I used says it was and made the switch. It is now saying Next Service due in 15000 miles as I have done another 3000 since the service so I am sure it is working correctly

Doing/ getting your car serviced every year whether fixed or variable servicing and taking high mileage

into consideration, has got to be a good thing for the car in general.emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I picked up my Polo Gti and its on variable servicing at 18,000miles, but reckon I will change the oil myself next year to make sure its tip top

Funnily enough, my Fabia has cropped up with a servicing request at just over 9000 miles. I will leave it for when it is most convienient for me!! Probably after the next payday!!

Anyone any ideas on cost and how long the 10k service takes?
