Missing alloy lock nut

Featured Replies

Hi All

I think I've managed to lose my locking nut for the alloys. It's a standrd one, not aftermarket.

I'm guessing I'm not going to be as lucky as finding that they are common to all Skoda so I can borrow someone elses?

How do I go about getting a replacement, and any idea of cost and time?

Thanks

Tom

Cost me around £13 from the dealers about 2 years ago, they tried a few from their master set to find the right one.

I had this problem when I brought my vrs . Forgot to look for it and when I got home wasn't there . Rang the garage up and of course they said it was . Lucky I went to skoda at Doncaster and they sorted me out . It's about £12

Just had a word with the dealer, have to wait until the service dept is open on Monday!

That's a right royal pain in the ...

Guess I'll go and search the car/toolbox again, can't believe I've lost it.

Check in the armrest, glovebox, door pockets and the expanded foam things under the boot floor near to the spare wheel.... Hope the hunting is successful!

I'm afraid this one is my fault. I've used it many times, but after doing the brakes a couple of weeks back I can't find it so I must have accidentally left it on the floor and Aberdeen's broke council have decided to start doing fortnightly trips round with road and pavement sweepers so it's probably long gone.

I stupidly left my locking nut key on one of the wheels when i changed the wishbones. I can't be the only one to do that???

I was lucky as retraced where i drove and found it on the road.

I have a set of left handed wheel nut removers that i key in case the same hanppens again and i need to force the nuts off without a key and not damaging the wheels.

I suspect that this is probably what I have done.

The other Octavia is in for a brake fluid change tomorrow and the Girlfriend has mine, so having had the brakes done I'll swapt them over and head back to Skoda and get a new one organised. Do they carry them or is it an order in job?

If it's order in pondering getting them to undo the two I need off, replace with plain bolts until the key comes.
