strangely drawn the the wasp-like version above - looks class.

Sadly, none of them have a small 3 digit number etched into the leather, so none of the above will ever be a cool as an SE ;)

I've thought about this briefly...you'd be mad too even consider the idea for more than a minute....those guys are expertly skilled in crafting leather....they would laugh at any attempt at some punter to chuck their own leather seats together...Im pretty sure they would be bad

Even if you did get some leather for say, £100-200....what would you waste trying to make it up. Respect due if you could fight over these concerns and make something worthwhile as the pics, but I seriously doubt it.

It would be less effort to get seats from a different model and graft the seat runners etc - and that's no short amount of work either.

My previous car had handmade leather seats - but by an upholster not me! Have you ever tried sewing leather? You'd need an industrial sewing machine for starters.

I have to say those seats were better than my present SE's official Skoda seats - softer but still very durable...

Black and yellow.

Lol I do like a challenge, but in all honesty I was thinking of a mate doing it.. He has the equipment and machines etc and has a little experience in car upholstery, he usually fits harnesses in aircraft seats and the upholstery for

Them etc..

I don't know it's a wild idea I know!

But if it pulls off I would have saved myself a lot of dough!

Would eBay be ideal for getting hides of leather?

Just get Seat Surgeons or similar to do it or don't bother IMO. A while back I saw someone on here had done them themselves, they looked terrible and they got a bit of a slating for it.
