Skoda Car Configurator

Featured Replies

Obviously now that the MY12 updates have been done to the brochure, the car configurator is back up.

Thought I would build "my" Superb last night and noticed a few details in the spec list:

- Electrically adjustable body coloured door mirrors (with integrated indicators and memory function): memory function in what sense? Memory against a key?

- Car phone preparation: what's this?

- Inside side window antenna: does this mean I won't get an external aerial?

- Tailgate/trunk lid release from inside (electrically): presume this is just a switch which releases the lock mechanism?

- Stowage box in boot?

Anyone shed any light on these?

The tail gate release is a VW thing, and let's you open the boot by removing a cap and pressing the button.

My VW touran had what looked like a heating element in the rear quarter light window, but it is the aerial, the Passat has 2 aerials, but you can see them, you can see the signal strength in the radio settings though.

I think the mirrors always were coloured and worked with the memory function.

The memory function of the external mirrors is tied in to the memory function of the electrically operated driver's seat - so it saves both seat and exterior mirror positions when you store one of three available memories. With a normal key you can assign one of the three stored memory settings to it (select or store the memory on one of the seat's memory buttons, remove the key from ignition and press the key's unlock button within 10 seconds). The keyless KESSY system also allows assignment of memory (same as key, but open door and press unlock within 10 seconds).

Car Phone Preparation is rSAP (Remote SIM Access Profile) for rSAP compliant phones...

With rSAP the head unit becomes a mobile phone, effectively using just the SIM in your phone. Be aware that incoming messages are saved in the car, not the phone.

and UHV is for non-rSAP Bluetooth phones (like the iPhone).

The window antenna is for AM/FM Radio - not many manufacturers use external aerials these days. If you have Sat-Nav (Amundsen / Columbus) you will also have the roof mounted shark-fin GPS aerial.

Stowage Box In Boot are (I assume) the side compartments (if you opt for the 6-CD Changer it will be mounted in one of these compartments - I believe the lockable compartment).

These were all MY11 specs.

I believe that the BB Curve 9300 is rSAP compatible so what does this mean for me and my Superb which will have the Bolero? Will I be able to pair the BB with the Bolero and use as a handsfree kit ?? :S Excuse my ignorance in this area

+1

In Superb Elegance Combi electric tail gate has a switch beside gear shift and on key fob.

I've got a copy of the new brochure which now also includes the SE Plus spec. The Bolero comes with the SE model and the SE model has the same BT unit as the Elegance (rSAP and UHV).

As for your BB phone, view this topic.
