What would you chose, baring in mind it's a daily car and white gets filthy so quickly...

Neither. IMO they both look cr@p

Each to their own though

Still love your black spiders....

What wheel would you choose that doesn't require a spacer to clear my brakes and are 7.5-8J wide?

Not wide enough and sick of ****ing around with spacers. I'm keeping the Spiders as 'winter wheels'

No thanks

As I said, each to their own

I would rather Avus`s in a light anthracite colour personally, they sit perfect offset wise. But I quite like them too, prefer the anthracite to the white. You are going for 7.5J or 8J for the extra grip arnt you? So it`d be a bit pointless then putting 205`s on to get them under the arches wouldnt it? Or am i missing something?

On the picture on FB you was saying ross` felt better and more planted, i think this is mainly because they are a very heavy wheel tbh, they are the heaviest wheel i`v run, and can deffo feel it when they are on, so i`d reckon it was more to do with that than the tyre width

I'm buying 205's but if they don't rub I'll then try 215's next time. I personally think stretching a 205 over a 8J gives slightly more contact area than over a 7J. Plus, it gets rid of the spacers and makes the car wider.

Maybe, I've just got a hatred for 7J wheels now, they look too small from behind and stuff. Ideally I'd like to run 215 tyres but I think they will rub so gunna try 205's first.

Lol, I know what your saying, the spiders just dont do it in the width stakes, a little too skinny. After woodford went on at me I ran the S3`s with 215`s as oppose to 205, had to raise it a tiny bit but only scrubbed a little on full lock. Couldnt have passengers in the back tho unless I put the adjuster cups back in.

Not a huge fan of the wheels, but if i had to choose, i'd go white.

A pain to keep clean, but get them well sealed and it shouldn't be too hard to keep on top of them.

I'd vote white, but I know mine are a complete arse to keep on top of, and you really need a spare set so you can get them off and wax them properly now and again if it's a daily driver.

based soley on those two shops - Anthracite B)

However, when car is clean, i'd lean towards white (although that'll pee off another fabia owner ;) ) - But, car must be kept clean for it to work.

The wheels are amazing in either colour, so just flip a coin, call up comp and buy the darn wheels already! :)

A friend has the anthracite ones on his Ibiza cupra and I'm not keen but that's on an Ibiza! They look good photoshopped but aren't as attractive in the flesh.... For that reason id go White, although impractical they look the nuts!

IMO stick with Spiders, they look good and give more stealth than aftermarket rims.

Maybe VW Evolo's?

Got to go white!! Imagine beefy red callipers showing through the gaps in the spokes. Nice!! B)

White looks best but I wouldn't choose them as I couldn't be bothered to clean them every other day.

I'd love some compomotives but IMO they are overpriced for what they are and there is better wheels out there for less money.

Anthracite ftw mate.

Unless you want it to look rally spec... get some mud flaps ;)

I like the white ones, go for white! :)

i swapped my spiders for s3 avus wheels last weekend done gloss black on black fabia. i chose toyo px4 205/40/17 on a 7.5j rim and im getting slight stretch on sidewall so 8j might be to much for toyos to pull off the looks. you will have to excuse the ride height, it does settle when its been driven a little. i refuse to buy coilovers untill something is actually mechanically wrong with my factory set-up.

you could see if anyone can photoshop it lower to see if you like them.

might be heavy wheel but the idea is the heavier the wheel the less chance of breaking traction in theory any way :giggle: weather it works or not is another matter.
