Headlight switch

Featured Replies

I've wired in the power for my boost gauge coming off the headlight switch, the only thing that's bothering me is how short the wires are from the headlight switch. I was wondering if I could remove the individual pins so I can lengthen the wires, is it possible to take the pins out if so how? Can you buy new pins?

Cheers

Mike

I just soldered onto the pins, there seemed to be a reasonable length of wire behind the dash.

Another easy source of +12vdc from a lightswitch feed is the glovebox light (just remembered that one).

Bit far away though mate but a safer bet. I might get some lengths of cable and hook it up there. I'm sure what I've done would be okay but there is always that doubt in the back of my mind!

Sure what you have done is safe :-) You can always stick a fuse inline with it as well :-)
