build time theory (stab in the dark)

Featured Replies

Spoke to the Dealer today to see if there was a confirmed build week or delivery date, there was...

Early part of October, two months later than I was originally quoted after ordering in early April. Nearly seven months?!

Dealer said the key problem is VAG can't make enough DSG gearboxes to cover all the models now offered with it. Skoda may be suspending certain models i.e. with the DSG 'box, to offset this though probably lower spec ones in a range.

At least it will have the Black Pack and new reg plate.

Ho hum.

I think what is probably holding up the Greenline, is the engine - is it the same engine as the Polo Bluemotion and Ibiza Ecomotive?

Aye

Ordered 30th March and picked up on 9th June through the VAT deal (obviously) and paid in cash.

back to the drawing board with my theory's then :D

Ordered our 1.2TSi Elegance Estate on the 1st Feb with a quoted 16weeks build time.

This didn't happen and then we received the news that we had an unconfirmed build date of week 40.

After a few weeks this moved to an unconfirmed build date of week 35.

Checked today and now we are back to "No assigned build date" :wall:

This is our 7th Skoda and 4th new Skoda we are loyal Skoda customers, but this may well be our last Skoda as how do we trust the brand again?

I hope Skoda realise what they are doing.

Cheers
