  • You've hinted at ch's alot! :p Looks good

  • Well, I part/ex'd the OZ Superturismo wheels to Pit8ull as the misses threw a wobbly and got a set of vRS Gigaro's in silver in exchange, which are currently being painted Mullberry (Golf VR6 Colour)

Thanks Gary - my first Factory Spec new car :)

Been out for a spirited drive and forgot the dog was in the boot! She didn't seem bothered though lol

I can see why white is popular, looks stunning when clean! Although atm it is covered in a fine layer of dust that got a soaking of rain yesterday :(

Just a quick review - dead impressed with the car so far, done 275 miles (180 of those today!) don't normally do too many miles a year but when a mate asked if I would like to go to Hemel Hempstead to pick up his 9.5'' wide BBS RM's for his MK2 Golf GTI, I thought why not :)

Left with 195 miles range remaining, got to HH (over 75 miles away) and it read 220 miles remaining :) Had a slight overtake with a stupied learner doing 25mph in a 60 zone so floored it past him, forgetting I was in 6th, it dropped to 3rd and took off! First time i'd pushed the car, but with it being in D as not used S yet :D

Amazingly average 45mpg on the journey, combined with the previous 100 miles of town work etc I averaged 37 mpg on my first tank. Not too shabby! Needs a damned wash, off to visit a mate in Ramsgate Fri/Sat so no wash til Sunday now... more tales in the weekends 150 miles!

Washed it saturday after my weekends roadtrips and then again this afternoon as my mate gave me a superguard kit :)

Basically what the dealer charges £300 for I got for nothing :D

Easy to apply, car has to be immaculate before application though.

Pic in a bit...

Again, not the best of photo's as can't find the charger for the damned camera! Will get some 'on location' pics soon :)

That is stunning mate, really like it and good to see it on a set of wheels that aren't black

Thanks :)

White is one of those colours that you can instantly tell when its clean, always makes me glad I got white instead of black now :D

I know what you mean about the Black wheels, lots of them about, I think Dark Chromes are one of the better wheel options but i'm biased! Your white ones must be such a pain!

More than a pain :giggle: had the car just over a month and a half and they have been off and cleaned 4 times :wonder:

lol :)

Had it ten days and cleaned it twice already B)

Will probably give it another run over with the superguard kit next weekend as it helps to build up the layers of protection.

Best way to do it

Bet it surprises some things off the lights being an estate!

  • Author

Yep :)

The few times I have left the lights sharpish it has been in D and changed up at 4k rpm as I don't want to break it :giggle:

Goes well enough for me, even though i'm not pushing it, S mode will be entertaining when I use it :D

Nice pictures, both look great.

Glad your enjoying it.

Just a quick update - back from a little holiday in Cornwall :)

Car has covered 800 miles in the week we were away. That's travelling from Kent - Cornwall - Kent. Had a good drive down but took 9 hours to get back yesterday and my mpg suffered as a result of all the damned traffic and my clever diversions! :D

Average 48 mpg on the tank down inc a few journeys to visit places.

Filled up this morning and economy is down to 38 mpg due to the sodding traffic! Still, feel better now as just washed a weeks worth of crap off the car :)

Possible new wheels lined up - just mulling over whether to put them on or not...

They look like R32 MK4 Aristo alloys but in 17 inch. Made by OZ - Superturismo WRC or something, lightweight from a Subaru Impreza.

They're 5x100 but the centre bore is Scooby 56mm so re-bore to 57.1mm today and tyres fitted this afternoon! :)

Whilst at tyre place I will get some pics if I put them on or sell if I don't like them lol :D

You going lime green too?! I love that rs+ design study!!!

Mmmmm hot!
