Featured Replies

Along with my Dad - we ordered our cars on the same day with the same salesman on the 26th March and are due to collect them tomorrow afternoon! emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

My Father has ordered a Yeti 1.8TFSI Elegance 4x4 in Steel Grey

I ordered a Fabia vRS Estate in Candy White

Should be a fun trip home emoticon-0100-smile.gif

Will post some pictures when I get a chance, just can't contain my excitement! emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

  • You've hinted at ch's alot! :p Looks good

  • Well, I part/ex'd the OZ Superturismo wheels to Pit8ull as the misses threw a wobbly and got a set of vRS Gigaro's in silver in exchange, which are currently being painted Mullberry (Golf VR6 Colour)

Nice one mate enjoy.

Nice. Can't wait for mine now. Looking forward to the pice since it will be almost the same as mine

nice one mate, cracking little car. V similar spec to mine ain't it? be aware of loose handbrake cover though, mines busted after only 330 miles, bit disappointing! it appears to be a common fault on these

Saw a steel grey yeti 1.2 tsi SE today really smart, would actually really like one (if it were a 1.8/2.0 CR 170 4X4!)

Well, what can I say! Bloody awesome! Never had a factory spec ordered car before, had 'new' and 'ex demo' cars before but is a: the longest I have waited for a car and b: so worth the wait!!

Turned up at the dealers with my Dad, he was part ex'ing his 57 plate Octavia Elegance Estate for the Yeti 1.8TFSI 4x4 and me a straight purchase for the vRS Estate. Drove in and they were both next to each other, one letter different on the plates and both with 6 miles on the clock! :)

Pics to follow of course!

Sorted out all relevant paperwork and paid for it :( hardest part! Had a brief walk round with the salesman explaining about both cars bits then off to visit Mr.V-Power. Funniest thing is I pulled up to the exit to leave, and not realising how responsive the pedals were almost took off leaving the dealership!

Had a good drive back, neighbours gawping at it already and a few have been out for a look. Need to go for a drive in Dad's Yeti too, bit jealous of his xenons and heated leather but hey ho!

5 stars for the dealer, Caffyns in Tonbridge. This is my parents 3rd new car from them and my first, although I have had servicing and parts etc with them for 8 years now!

Now to wash it and apply the superguard kit I got, should keep it looking nice :)

Congrats!

So need to see piccies!!

Nice one  . Look forward to seeing the pics!

Great to hear Adam - looking forward to seeing the pics B)

Great story thanks for sharing

Mate great little car hey?....well not so little in the flesh is it?! Think you've got exactly same spec as us but we've got PDC and you've got the underseat storage is that right?

Don't know about you but so glad we got an estate, was the only option for us really but even still without wishing to upset those with hatches I think it looks more purposeful. White and dark chromes too....easily the best colour combo. Alot of people also think the monte looks better but I for one certainly dont. Also glad I've got the chrome grille and lights....more I see the black pack the more I think the chrome suits the car better.

Like to be keeping ours clean but its a dog/baby transporter so whilst the cabin is still half tidy the outside is filthy (though the dark chromes do strangely look nice with a film of brake dust on them!) and the boot is caked in dog hair.

All the best with it anyway, is the first new car I've bought with my own cash too that I really like

Cracking story about collecting the cars reminds me of the day my dad and my late grandfather picked up their Ford Escorts many years ago about the same time with one digit diffrent in the registration numbers.

Looking forward to seeing the pics mate.

Not the best of pictures, forgot my camera so had to use the phone camera! Odd weather, was raining on and off during paper signing and the drive home but never dulled the moment!

Will get it cleaned, superguarded and better pictures next weekend. My Dad took me out in his Yeti on Saturday, lovely smooth ride and the change up/down indicators are quite a nice touch! Alot more comfy than the vRS but then I expected that! Neighbours curtains twitching even though I no longer live at home (they've seen a 1992 Merc 190E which i've been borrowing for 2 weeks so guessed that was mine :) lol) and then took Dad out in mine. He loved the DSG and was impressed with the power of mine :)

Build quality in both has come on so much, even though we both owned Skoda's before!

Look forward to driving mine about normally from monday as work etc. This weekend had just been a chance to show it off before we're back to normality!

Nice looking vRS and Yeti mate, the choice of alloys really suit the vRS and white.

Every time I see a white estate I'm glad I went with it

Very good choice if i'm honest - although its dirty already! Few trips here and there with the recent rain and its splattered with dirt :(

Not sure how well the Black wheels will look, certainly better than the Silver and White. Maybe i'm biased towards Dark Chromes!

Nice  bit like my Fabia, just stretched :giggle:

  • Author

lol :)

Stretched indeed it is - its huge inside! Headroom is great, although its quite a tall car compared to the old MK1 vRS. The handling is so much better than

previous MK1 vRS too, not as much lean in the corners and more grip = :)

Happy for you Adam

It looks very moddable, when do the coilies go on? ;)

I've never had a brand new car before,

You lucky fella, I'm well jel :D
