Tyre choices

Featured Replies

Im in need of a new pair of front tyres so i have been having a look on the net at a few different ones. I have around £95 for each tyre, i am looking for 215/40/17.

Any of these tyres any good for mostly spirited driving :smirk:

Toyo proxes T1R

Hankook k110 v12 evo

Toyo proxes 4

Yoko prada 2

Pirelli p zero

Goodyear eagle f1

Anyone had any experiense with any of these or can recommend any other tyres?

Recommendations please

i just put 4 toyo px4 on mine 205/40/17 awesome tyres it just grips and grips

Toyo proxes T1R around :) very nice, I would stay clear of Pirelli nero :( very poor tyre in wet.

Have a look at he UNIROYAL RAINSPORT2 reviews say very nice tyre but I couldn't get them :(

awesome in the dry, better in the wet

For my "summers" I use Toyo Proxes T1-R.......way better than I thought they would be!!! Well worth the money!!! On my car with my suspension the "break away" is progressive and not sudden!!!!.......good "drivers" tyre.... B)

+1 on the T1-R'semoticon-0148-yes.gif

T1-R or Goodyear F1

I had the Toyo T1-R on my old FTO and was very happy with them.

If you can get them fitted yourself then Camskill do them at £66 each

You'll probably al hate me for this, but I always use Continental tyres...ContiPremiumContact 3 if you want a balance of performance and efficiency or ContiSportContact 3 if you want all out performance...

Although I don't really have a performance car but it's not uncommon to see Contis on German performance cars...

I hear a lot of good about the rainsport's but I cant fault my parada's for dry grip. Great looking tyre but I almost feel let down a little in the rain.

Rainsports are good tyres in any weather condition.

Paradas are awesome in the dry. so good that IMO (with the exception of more specialist tyres such as R888s), they are the best dry tyres available. There is a flip side to them - they can be shocking on a wet road :(

Uniroyal Rainsport Everytime

Goodyear F1s
