just read through the thread about front bushes, the powerflex have a thinner steel tube that wears away the chassis. just wondering what the "fix" is?

just read through the thread about front bushes, the powerflex have a thinner steel tube that wears away the chassis. just wondering what the "fix" is?

Hhhmmmmm...my post my fix!!! Sorry havn't put it up yet!! The fix is for the Powerflex front bush on the front wishbone....if you have problems with it eating the steel plate subframe that the pivot bolt goes through! What I did is get an M10 repair washer (45mm to 50mm dia) and cut an M12 thread in it (this gives a much closer fit) then insert in between the bush and the steel subframe.....this gives the steel crush tube a new bit of steel to bite onto! You might have to slacken of the four main console/subframe bolts to be able to slide the suframe plate forward a bit to create a bit more room is bush area to fit the washer! B)
