Hi Everyone,

I'm new to Briskoda having only joined yesterday, but I wanted to join as I'm soon to be the owner of a Rallye Green Fabia VRS and would like to share my experiences with the experiences of other Skoda owners.

I got a call from the dealer on Wednesday to say my Fabia VRS would be delivered to them on Friday and that I could come down and have a look if I wanted? I jumped at the opportunity and I have to say that I don't think pictures do the car any favours, it looks much better in the metal and I'm really pleased with my colour choice.

I ordered my Fabia VRS on the 28th March and was originally told delivery would be sometime in June, then I was told July. I was then told it had been removed from the factory system (something to do with the MY2012 changes). I wasn't too bothered by the delay as it meant I may get the black Pack. Anyway its here and it doesn't have the black Pack, which I'm not too bothered by as I like both headlight and grill combinations.

I'm Collecting the car on Monday at 1:30pm and I have to admit to getting just a little bit excited now. I'll post some picture once I've worked out how to do so. Perhaps someone can confirm how to post pictures? Can I click on the 'insert image' icon in the topic and insert the URL to photo's on my Flickr account?

I'm also well gutted coz as is common on here with me and some others, we ordered not that long after you (a week and a bit) but my car has an unconfirmed build date of 3 weeks and then a few weeks for delivery (thats if things go to plan which I doubt as its been pushed back many times!)

It staggers me that you're taking delivery so quickly. Spme very angry people here ordered in Jan and have unconfirmed build dates of November!!

Anyway, enjoy the car, welcome to the forums, and look forward to seeing some pix.

as for pics, just signup to photobucket and upload them to it, the site will give you 4 options for each picture, just copy and paste the one starting with the http:// etc etc and it will show the picture here

I'm stunned myself by the quick delivery. I've been reading posts on here from the past couple of months regarding build dates and to be honest the fact that my dealer couldn't give me a build date had me thinking my car was in the 'ordering black hole'.

I've been reading in several motoring magazines lately how Skoda are achieving record sales and are looking to increase these in the future - well they may be selling loads but they're not actually building and delivering them all! I just hope some or all of you are as lucky as I've been and get your cars earlier than you expected.

Hi Adam, to be honest I wasn't that excited when I didn't have a build week, I was looking forward to getting the car but it didn't seem real yet. Now I've got a collection date and I've seen the car in the metal I can hardly contain my excitment

Like mine, I hope your car turns up at your dealers earlier than expected so you can start to enjoy the car you've waited so long for. Good luck.
