My main concern is it being repaired at Skoda and Admiral told me they do for a new cars still under mfg warranty. Some of the bells and whistles between different companies dont often come into play in the real world but i appreciate they matter to some.

Also i work in the insurance industry so have some heads up :giggle:

I did a search last night for when my vRS arrives. I'm 32 with 11 years NCD and admiral came out on top with 407 quid which I don't think is too bad

Sales may say that but claims where I worked will ask you for two quotes and they authorise the one they choose.... As both quotes need to be from garages your happy to use. If the engineers still dispute the cost an independent assessor has to try agree costs

Going through the quotes now though comparison sites and they still all seem to be all over the place.

I've been driving 5 years with 5 years no claims

I've added both my parents as named drivers since a couple of time this year they've needed to drive mine plus it drops it a bit. Both have no points or convictions

I've said I'm a named driver on another car which is true I'm on their Swift.

Cheapest decent quote is with Admiral at £642 which is £100 more than last year and I've added my parents

Sounds about right, considering the average premium has risen by a fair amount since last year.

As always, some get better, some get worse. But overall premiums have gone up in the last year or so by about 30%.

yeah, sounds about right...

I'll not mention my *cough... £300 a year premium though.... B) my circumstances are different to most though

Yeah there's some well random prices in this thread. I got a quote off Admiral for £320 and I've only got two years NCB. (That in mind I take advantage of their 10 month bonus accelerator which takes the quote down to about £285. Which is nice.)
