ive got a octavia a4 the steering goes from normal to heavy and back to normal especially when turning right and then left in one motion already replaced wishbones track rod ends, steering rack and fan belt. power steering fluid level is fine and there is no leaks car has done lot of miles 200k but never missed a service any body had same or similar problem and how did you sort it. its driving me nuts .

Have it scanned for fault codes. Most likely the PAS steering angle sensor on the rack, or battery.

Its hydraulic not electric.

Has it got the right fluid in it, should be green not red.
