I have a Fabia 1.9 tdi sport bought new 59 the clutch appears to be very fierce in operation in that on take up although it doesnt judder it is very difficult to be smooth in take off also changing gear means that it is sometimes kerky unless you release the clutch pedal easily. I do not remember the change being like this when i bought the car , I have asked the dealer to check and he states that it is normal. However my previous cars have been Fabia diesel VRS and with those I noticed changes were smoother

Ours is pretty savage clutch wise too. Seems as if the clutch is either on or off with no real feel unless you ride it with more revs. Will not last long driving like that though.

re the above I bought it beginning of 2010.....each time I return to the dealer his mechanic states it is normal, but I disagree, I have driven many cars over the years and never like this,

So just over a year, has it been this bad since you had it? Could take it to another dealer for a 2nd opinion. Maybe the bite point is set differently to the MK1?
