STS Box and service notice

Featured Replies

Hi, I was just wondering if the STS box that shark use can clear the service notice on my dash ? I serviced the car last week and the spanner came up on my dash on my way home this evening. I know i would properly be best to contact ben but i wouldnt get an answer till tomorrow and i want to get it removed as quick as possible as its doing my head in. My STS box is on its way  i know it can read and remove fault codes but i dont know about the service.

Thanks.

Dunno but it tell's you in the manual doesn't it?

Matt

With the ignition off, push and hold down the trip button, turn ignition on and keep button held down for about 30 seconds, it'll flash then go out.

Done

No I'm afraid the STS unit can't do that, only read and erase fault codes from the engine ECU (the service indicator is in the instrument cluster).

The reset button they are on about is the mileage Trip reset on the dashboard.

You can download one - and other original Fabia documentation too - via the 7th thread at the top of this forum.
