Liveried Yeti's spotted

Featured Replies

I thought I would start up a different thread for liveried Yeti spotted.....

I was out in Orpington this afternoon and had a few minutes to kill, so parked up and had some lunch....what luxury.

Any way, I ended up parked up behind another badgeless white SM, with 205/60R16 wheels & tyres, belonging to Bromley Environmental Services. It is a low spec model, as only has the open tray on top of dashboard. The wheels had been changed for some steel ones, but not Skoda ones as far as I'm aware.

Good fine there Mike, thanks for sharing it with us. :)

Sadly, nothing spotted here in Sussex. Maybe they have yet to discover the benefits of SM ownership :giggle:

Mike - did you check whether the tow bar had been coded?

Those tyre pressures can't be right can they?

Depends on what load there is in the back and the tyres are non Skoda approved size......emoticon-0112-wondering.gif, but yes, I did notice that.

BTW it is a '60' reg.

I've seen a couple of Yetis (one in Cambridgeshire months ago, one in Yorkshire recently) with logos on the front doors and yellow/red chevrons all over the hatchback, both carrying 'motorway maintenance' signs.

Seen a couple of Corrida Red Yeti 4x4's in West Yorkshire leased to the West Yorkshire Fire Service. Don't know the exact spec but Corrida Red looks good....

Shame I'm not a home, as I've got a photo of Bath's Paramedic Rapid Response Yeti.

I've seen a couple of Fabia estates in red with WYFS logos; haven't spotted the Yetis yet

Something different to lean on at the side of the A1!

I've seen these black spoked steel wheels fitted to several different brand new cars on the back of transporters.

I couldn't understand what they were for, clearly not alloys but also much different to the normal steel wheels that eventually get covered with decorative plastic trims during the PDI.

I later discovered that they are actually supposed to be covered with plastic trims, but special trims that are held in place with the wheel nuts whilst folding around the sides and behind the spokes and into the lip of the rim between the wheel and the tyre.

They are plastic trims designed to look like more expensive alloys. Seen them now on several Ford Focus's and Vauxhall Astra's and Insignia's - very clever!

Not sure why they are fitted to a Yeti though, I'm sure the Yeti steel wheels are the usual full face ones and the plastic trims are clipped on usual?

This Yeti had non standard tyres as well.....more aggressive tread, maybe for going off road wherever Environmental Services go emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

I sold a bunch of Yeti 4x4s to a security company who needed something with four wheel drive and space for large dogs in the back. They are normally around the Brooklands/Byfleet area. Should get a photo of them actually they look pretty cool.
