My Car Hates Me

Featured Replies

Okay It All Stated This Morning, I Opened My Car Like Normal Central Locking Working Fine. Was In The Shops For About 10 Mins, Put The Key In The Lock Only The Drivers Door Opened. The Lock & Unlock Button Were Not Working Got Out Locked & Unlocked The Door Still No Central Locking. Drove About 1 Min Up The Road To A Nice Big Gravel Car Park And Slamed On The Breaks :giggle: In Annoyance That My Car Was Broken, Got Out Locked The Door And Opened It Again And The Central Locking Worked Fine Back To Normal.

Then Went To Work, Went On My Lunch Break And Te Sub In My Car Wasn't Working Got Out Checked That The Sub How Power Which It Did, & Restarted The Car & It Was Fine. And Has Been Fine For The Rest Of The Day.

'

So I Have Come To The Conclusion That My Fabia Doesn't Like Me.

Any Ideas What My Car Would Do This????

Thanks

Karma?

Its the vRS badges you have on a 1.4 ... its not happy you know , the car feels unwanted with its tiny bits...

It doesn't like you. :giggle:

It doesn't like your use of capital letters?

Maybe yours doesn't want the strut braces and front splitter

How is the battery? Just thinking the battery may have charged up as you drove letting it work properly again. The Skoda-supplied aftermarket central locking works fine though at 10.5v when the engine won't give the slightest hint of starting (although this is different to the factory fit). Did you test from the passenger door or just the driver's? If it worked from the passenger but not the driver's door, my first port of call would be to pull off the rubber bellows between the door and A pillar and look for any damage to the central locking wires.

It's a car what do you expect. I rebuilt a Morris 1000 carb today (sticking choke), repair went as planned, then the throttle cable decided it would start sticking, so new throttle cable, that's a carpet out job, so then the brake lights decided to stick on once the carpets were refitted. I call all my cars "Christine".
