Columbus Advice Please

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, I have just fitted a Columbus unit to my Mk2 vRS

Could someone please tell me how I work out if the Columbus unit is a LED version

In the secret menu, it comes up with:

Model 3T0035680B

HW H42

SW 3804

Thanks in advance

I guess that came from Ebay, its running a hacked beta firmware so from those details its impossible to tell since the firmware spoofs what is displayed on screen. You'll need to scan the headunit with VCDS to get the correct part / hw number.

Just be aware that most, if not all the cheap units sold on ebay are stolen on mainland europe and hacked using commercially available software . Code cards are easily faked, so even if you got one of those its no guarentee its not stolen. Its possible that if a dealer scans the headunit it can be flagged as a stolen one on their system.

Thanks for the reply - Is there anyone in the Coventry area with a VCDS that could hook it up and tell me (and code the MFD for the Nav)
