Mmmm, whatever anybody thinks a personalised number plate says about them, I'm afraid the same thought always goes through my mind; W4NKR. (Sorry Johann :giggle: )

I think M15ERY would be a good one for Betty don't you Bob ;)

Or perhaps J341 OUS would be more appropriate :giggle:

I lean towards Bob's view, as i can't see the point in them.

They are as pointless as all the other ways of personalising and differentiating your car, colour, wheels etc.

so me 'appening to have a 12 plate already so hurt!

I think it's really all down to personal taste in that some like to stick vinyl Yetis or footprints on their cars others like to call them names and numerous other things of that ilk. I've had a cherished registration for the last 30 odd years and I intend to carry on using it,so there! I on the other hand wouldn't dream of giving my car a name and never have done in the 45 odd years I've owned them, to me they have always been 'the car' and as for the vinyl stickers I'm undecided. I'm a great believer in live and let live and realise we 'aint' all the same and thank christ for that  .

Bring it on!

That sort of reaction is a bonus! :D

I've used it since I opted out of being a company driver about 10 years ago & as I mostly buy 'used' it used to be less obvious that my car was over the 'preferred' 3 years old the fleet manager liked us opt-outs to drive.

Current car is 4 years old this month (had it 5 3 months) & looking smarter than the 60 & 11 plate company cars in the car park! B)

Bad Bobdog, you really shouldn't rattle cages like that! :D

My only real defence for a 'cherished' reg. is that I can still remember it when I change cars!

+1

some people spend money on changing the appearance or performance of the car to make it more personal.

I chose to have a personal plate because I can

Well Badbob, think your problem was the sweeping generalisation that anyone with a cherished no plate liked to gratify themselves using their hand and although this may be true it was bound to upset a good number of people. I can imagine your reaction if someone suggested that all owners that give their Yeti a name (ie Elizabeth) were fond of molesting sheep then you would bite  (this could also be true of course!):D

One really would have to be a complete W4NKR to pay that!

Or a TO55ER emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

Or merely a shameless B4NKR?
