I see the DS3 in your sig. what spec is it? and how does it compair to the vRS II ?

thanks in advance... I always liked the DS3, just thought the fast one was a bit expensive, and every citroen I have owned (had 3 from new) has fallen apart (watch the miles pass 40k = buy new gearbox ect) I really like them, and am interested on your comparisons

I have.... seeing as I'm looking for a comparison between the DS3 and fabia II vRS, I thought it would be of relevant interest to others in the fabia II forum :p

Yeh yeh smarty ;)

Well, that you should ask.

:D

The DS3 belongs to my wife, she bought it brand new in May. It's a 1.6 DSTYLE model that puts out 120bhp. It's got uprated wheels I think and a white dashboard pack, apart from that it's pretty much standard.

I have driven the car and I think it's great, handling is very good, I haven't driven it hard but does feel a little more "planted" than the vRS. Very solid build and very high quality - there aren't many squeaks (again, unlike the Fabia ;) ). However it is a bit slower (0-60 in 8.6s as opposed to the ~7s for the vRS) and the space in the back is far less than that of the Fabia.

However, it's a great little car for her as she only does 3 miles work and more often than not I take her in my car.

Her's had 8 on the clock when she had it and only now has 580. I had my car at more or less the same time and i've done 4 times that.

I do want another go in her car though and let the revs go to the line a bit more, we've been a bit more careful as it was brand new.

Nice car though but I will say it was expensive - her's was £15.5K and mine £13.5K (OK 4 month old)..

Guy down the road from me has the 150hp ds3. In white. So much better looking than the fabia inside and out. Seats look mega as well.

I've not driven his but he had a spin in mine and was horrified at the performance difference lol. That said mines kick in out the ds3r performance level though. Think his was a fair few grand more expensive than mine though

The DS3 Racing is £23k :S

Yeah, the "top" DS3 is the DSPORT that is a 1.6T pushing 150BHP I think.

(Aside from the DS3 Racing). The Racing is fecking mental price for what it is.

If I had 23K to blow on a car, then it'd be: -

I honestly think the superb estate looks FAR nicer than the twin hatch.... and i'm not normally a fan of estates (except yours ofc gore :p!)

If I do get a decent share of the £166M jackpot tonight, then Superb's will belong to me.
