This is ****. it wont start now. not even for the first second.

Going to need a code scan, but check ECU fuse isn't loose, or corroded.

Also check the large link fuses on top of the battery for hairline cracks.

ECU plug been off at any point?

Ive recently removed my sub, rear sears and drivers door card and theyre all currently off the car. the only connections that are off of the door card are the light that flashes red next to the door pin and the light at the bottom of the door. none of the subwoofer wires are in contact with anything. The car started just now twice but the entre dash is flashing and lit up.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark here but maybe the car doesn't really enjoy being ragged everywhere and is trying to tell you that?! B)

Silly question, but have you tried putting the door card back on. It doesn't weight that much!

I'm getting the feeling I'm going to be noticably heavier than you and Luke...

Lots of cars get driven hard, doesnt mean they **** themselves.

OT, hope you get it sorted ross, looking forward to your times tomorrow!

I dont have the door card. its the only one that is left to be trimmed in leather.

I was looking forward too. Thanks for positive support unlike big mikeys useless comment.

Well if it's been off for a while I can't see it being that.

I'd love to be more help Ross, but my knowledge is rather limited. :'(

It's probably just having a wobbly, but I would get someone with vagcom to hook it up. Someone might have it at the Pod if you find the car starts and drives OK in the morning. Sounds to me more like an electrical gremlin though

As MoggyTech said, get the car scanned for fault codes.

And I hope it's nothing serious Ross and your back on the road soon emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Sounds more like a dash cluster issue to me if its having that much of a fit.

Hmmm, indeed. Reminds me of when I refitted my dash cluster after blanking off the airbag LED, and I'd only half managed to plug in one of the plugs. It went bonkers, beeping etc! :D

If I was closer I'd scan it, but MK is a treck, and I'm off to great Yarmouth tomorrow :(

Car drives now but no ABS, power steering only works when headlight is on, constant beeping when driving, tons of lights flashing... WTF?

Idiot... It's blatantly an electrical problem, nothing related to the engine/turbo is wrong at all. Driving style is absolutely irrelevant...

On your video I'm sure I saw the engine light on.

Because of the egr delete

The problem with having the engine light on all the time because of the EGR delete, is that when there is actually a real problem you quiet often dont know about it until its to late.

ROS53Y, Does the starter still turn the car over normally? Could it be the battery, my superb did a simillar thing and gave me all the lights and nothing worked, but after a restart and a long drive the fault never happened again.

Battery is fine car turns over all good was driving it last night but all the time I'm in motion the dash beeps at me. Power steering comes and goes and abs does too.

This sounds like the wires infront of the gearbox down by the rad drain point breaking.....lok for a two wire connecter with the wires comming from the alternator...standard fault...just solder the wires back but and heat shrink!!! B)

Or....you've got a blown fuse in the main fuseboard...or a hairline crack in a top fuse on the battery case

This is the reply I've been waiting for. I new I had herd of some wire being too tight and splitting in that area. I'll have a look when/if I tumble out of bed.

Thanks for all of your responses except from useless p****s that say "are you sure your car likes being ragged"

Ross.

This is (partially) what VCDS is designed for,

FFS do yourself a favour and get it scanned.
