Fabia Elegance 2.0 8v Estate - Whats it like ?

Featured Replies

I have come upon one of these for sale with very low miles and mint condition, it's an 03 and i just want to know if there are any issues with this engine.

I already own a 06 Fabia 1.9TDI Elegance hatchback so am familar with the car but not this engine in this car. It seems a big engine for such a small body, given it's not the newer 16v 2.0 130bhp engine that went into the Passat, is this the worst for it ?

The 2.0 16v 130bhp Passat is also on my list of alternative cars, and i have also seen a nice one of these, but it's miles away so the Fabia is easier to go and see...... any opinions.

We had a H/back with this engine and it was a nice drive. Over 8000 miles we avaraged 29.9mpg with mainly town driving.

Other than that over the 2 years we had it we had no problems.
