Inappropriate driving threads

Featured Replies

You would get a stern telling off by the law if caught as you should drive within the speed limit and for the conditions of the road, you know if you take that hill at 45 you will get 2 wheel lift? then you intentially do not have control of the car which amounts to wreckless driving.

When it was icy, did you drive at 30 through town (a 30 zone)? i would imagine you topped 10mph, or an avg of 3mph as you knew if you drove any faster you would loose control and cause an accedent/crash your car.

Doing 45-50 on a 60mph straight road in dry conditions is not "wreckless". BIT MORE INFO.. The bridge is only worse (even visiably) in one direction...as in the other direction it is not to bad. There is only one sign warning you and it is partially hidden....by the time you see it and realise that it is a steep "drop/hump" on the other side it is a bit to late to suddenly brake safely if you are doing say 58mph!...result front end in air and rear at full extension and if you have firm/low suspension then rear in air as well.

Was trying to point out that a "dangerous" photo could be the result of normal driving but on a bit of road that is badly designed/signposted.........was trying in my post as I stated to look at it from other side!

P.S. in winter I do 25mph in 30's and 55mph in 60's and 65 in 70's....reason I have winter tyres.. :giggle: .....I always adjust my speed according to the conditions but I have seen me do 70mph in a 70mph zone in the depths of winter....car is planted and grip is like summer....also I have had to emergency brake in winter at 70mph......felt just like summer as winter tyres gripped and did not let the abs cut it...all very safe!!!........Did the same when I drove on summer tyres........then i would do 15mph in a 30 zone etc because of the lack of grip etc and the abs tripping even if I sneezed on the brakes!!!

Surely most people can see a car with 4 wheels should keep those 4 wheels on the ground at all times? OK, I've not kept mine on the ground at all times but the one time I got them off the ground, I left them pointing at the sky.... Lesson learned!

Photos of inappropriate driving will be removed, end of. Rules are rules and must be enforced, no matter how arty a photo might be.

So you knowing that road you would ajust your driving conditions and speeds so you have full control of the car? I.E. no wheel lift.

the OP point in question does not take any of this fine detail into account and is a breif 'Dont do it on here', it is a blatent dissregard for the safty of the driver and anyone on the public road and advertising such behaviour on this website, which by the rules of Briskoda.net this does not condone.

can this topic be closed? i hate holding shovels.

Reliant Robin bridge jump FTW! ;)

Does this include BIMC?

Says who? Rally cars have 4 wheels... Bikes have 2 wheels but they're not always on the ground either.

You saw the photo of the Octavia jumping and didn't remove it... How is this any different? It's identical...

A over-moderated forum is just dull. As I said in PM the photo has been posted on the following websites and haven't been removed or marked as negative at all.

If you can post a photo on all of those websites without it being removed it kind of drives you away from the only website that does. As I also said in PM I see Briskoda pretty much perfect except for silly rules like this...

I used Briskoda for my main build thread and linked all other forums to this (hence why it has nearly 50,000 views) but when the best photo you have of your car is deleted from the thread it kinda ruins that...

For anyone who hasn't seen the photo you can see it on my build thread on Edition 38 (where it hasn't been removed).

i think this is what rules Brisky out from any other forum :p (i think in a good way)

Bothered??????????

That wasn't referring to VRSunroof by the way

But on here and other forums if there's a thread that I don't agree with or doesn't interest me, offends me in any way, etc... I move to another thread... Why does it matter if I have one photo in my build thread? If people don't like it then they don't have to view it. It's my car, my risk, no one else was at risk... It was on a private road too (no laws were being broken, hence why I haven't blanked out my plate). I even PM'd gadgetman and offered to get the land over to speak to him and provide proof that it wasn't a public road but that got ignored.

I see jumping over that little jump as far less dangerous/risky than driving on track to be honest... and if track driving is condoned then why should this be deleted?

...and Octavia jumping photo (that has been posted in numerous threads and not deleted, despite being seen by numerous moderators) WAS on a public road going at a much higher speed towards on-coming traffic... But that's completely OK!

Mods!

I pleed to lock this thread! it is getting nowhere, he obvoiusly has no consept of the rules.

If a bike gets caught lifting its wheel he gets done for dangrous rideing... trust me i have mates on bikes who have been caught!

Of what rules? What rules am I breaking...?

People post photos of them on track, locking up the brakes, cocking a wheel, going up on 2 wheels clipping apex's etc... How is that any less dangerous than what we did?

Firstly I did reply it just wasn't what you wanted to hear. Your pic clearly shows lines and road signs, something not often found on private roads.

We have no control on what other sites will and won't allow. SCN have often pulled such threads for similar reasons, and their rules cover silly driving.

You keep referring to other posts still on Briskoda, but haven't provided links when requested to.staff will naturally deal with these in a similar way.

Staff decisions or policies aren't openn to debate. You're more than welcome to pm colind if you disagree with site policies etc etc.

Members either adhere to and respect forum rules or not. The nots will be dealt with in line with forum rules.
