Service is due shortly and would like to change oil and filter myself but would like to know how you remove the cap fron the oil filter housing and using which tool and size? This is first time i have attempted it myself but looking forward to it!

34mm socket

You can trust moggy. I have done mine today and used a 34 mm socket. Don't forget it dosent get done back up very tight and u need to prime the new seal ring that goes on

It can't be over tightened van it? As it's not like a screw or bolt as the cap can only be screwed so far until it stops, I just tightened mine till it stopped. Hope this is ok?

Oil filter cap torque is 25nm if anyone uses a torque wrench for the oil change. Too tight and you can get a leak from the 'o' ring seal.

Leaking from the cap itself? I think mine is ok then
