Hey all.I'm looking at buying a race blue Octavia vrs cr diesel(2008 or later for cheap tax). Trouble is they are very scarce in Ireland. I'm wondering what peoples opinions are in terms of the newer model v older model. Two choices at the mo:

(1) 2008 Older Model 50,000 miles €16000.

or

(2) 2010 New Model 8,000 Miles €24,000.

What do ye think? Or would it be much cheaper to cross the pond?

The FL Octavia is better in ALL respects from the last model

Nicer front, nicer inside, better stereo (Bolero)

Engine is CR and smoother and a lot quieter..a no brainer IMO

Thanks ChrisRs. Problem is price of 2010 is stretching the budget :'( The 2008 model I'm looking at has the CR engine. I'm just afraid that if I do go for 2008 model after a year or two I will be annoyed I did and the car will look old and have lost a lot of its value.
