Did I miss sommat?

Just like the "Best Car" reviews in more than one magazine, where the Yeti appears in "Small SUV" category along with things like Nissan Note (of all things), whereas the Tiguan is in the next group up - with Audi Q5 etc suggesting it is a bigger car!

What are these people on... It does make you wonder if they ever actually see the cars they are comparing, or do they just cobble together their articles by extracting info from several reports in other (European) mags?

EVERYONE at Whatcar hates Škodas. NEVER EVER buy that rag to read anything useful about a Škoda.

Don't read that RUBBISH emoticon-0120-doh.gif

They can't string a coherent sentence together if there lives depended on it. emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

To be fair,What Car? are running a 1.2 Elegance Yeti on their test fleet and always give it excellent reviews.

They ran a Superb last on their test fleet and again gave the car(and Skoda) very good write ups.

I think accusing the magazine of being anti-skoda is a bit harsh.

What Car only ever seem to praise BMW, possible backhander involved ?.

All the press seem to be in love with BMW but is that due, following the current issue of James May, that they just love to throw them round the Nurburgring? Around pothole Britain I find them too uncomfortable but I assume that there are no potholes on race tracks. Too much obsession with driving on the edge around fast corners rather than comfort and practicality.

Hmmm.. Not so sure about that. I have an old M3 track car. No potholes on the Nordschleife admittedly; but lots of bouncing over kerbs. I shall try to post on youtube if I can figure it all out!

People like BMWs because they are cracking cars and have the rare feature of rear wheel drive. The press love Porsches too because they are the only real sports car you can use every day- and whilst the scribblers on the local free rag always praise whatever firm gave them a free lunch you will find plenty of objectivity from the serious journos like Steve Cropley and Chris Harris.. My Yeti is fit for purpose but doesnt really get the pulse racing- an M3 would- if not as much as my beloved Seven

Back to BMW again; here is a video of a Yeti outdragging a 325
