Leon Cupra interior

Featured Replies

Helllloooo,

Just need some quick advice, chance of a Recaro interior from a Leon Cupra has arisen....

Will the bolt straight in? Anyone know how much they go for?

Thanks

I very much doubt it will do as the runners will be different.

Adapters can be made to fit though.

Lad who is selling them says they will bolt straight in, they are thw same platform as the mk4 Golf are'nt they?

If they are Mk1 Leon seats they will have two bolts in the middle at the front, which I believe is different to the Fabia set-up

It's a 52' plate so I assume that's the MK1?

Not being funny, are they definitely Recaro? I.e. do they say Recaro on them? The Leon Cupra never had Recaro seats, only the Cupra R, and they were an (expensive!) factory option.

A lot of people on eBay sell them as Recaros when they're not, and it's worse with the Cupra R seats because the seats have a SEAT R embroidered onto them. The R just means they're from a Cupra R, genuine Recaros will have the R and the word Recaro on them.

Other than that, yes, the Mk1 Leon is a Mk4 Golf, pretty much.

Hmm, they are black and red with the Recaro stitching in the back but theres no 'R'... The car is down as a Leon Cupra OEM+?

If you can view this link then these are the seats in question: http://www.dubnortheast.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,15627.30.html

Ah, you're buying off Paul then? Can't see your page, need a login and I can't be bothered. Those seats are originally from the Mk4 Golf GTI rather than original Leon seats, hence my confusion. They were indeed in a red Leon Cupra, but that's not what they're from, if you see what I mean. Hence no R on the seat.

All legit though, but just thought I'd mention it as there's often a lot of Cupra Rs on eBay with "Recaro seats" when they're actually just the bog standard seats with the bog standard SEAT R on them, would have hated to see you waste your money!

Yes from Paul, how do you know him?

They wont fit, Fair bit of work needed aswell to get them to fit

Yes from Paul, how do you know him?

I used to own a Leon as well so I know him from SeatCupra.Net, and he's also on a regional North-East car forum (NEMM) that I've helped set up and moderate, I've never actually met him but I know of him. Seems a pretty sound bloke.

So the MK4 golf interior doesn't fit straight in? I was always under the impression they did :(

No the Fabia is the same as Polo so the interior doesnt fit. They would fit straight in an Octavia but not the Fabia.
