aerial boosters

Featured Replies

if the aerial booster on my fabia is faulty instead of replacing the aerial can i fit an aerial booster to the radio as you do if you fit a new after market radio

dont see why not.

Depends how far gone the OE aerial booster is gone. I tried it when mine went down a few years ago and no joy - the booster circuit in the base of the aerial was so far corroded that there was actually no signal to speak of getting anywhere near the headunit so no signal to boost.

I'd just replace the whole aerial and base.

On this subject. My 2006 VRS dose'nt appear to have a booster. Is this ok?

Also I am going to fit a new HU but am a bit worried by the live wire swap bit.Is it required on this year of Fabia please?

If I'm fitting an aftermarket unit can I fit the VW sharkfin ariel instead and then a booster near the headunit end?
