Ever growing Dominance of Sky

Featured Replies

What are OFCOM actually doing? Sky have more and more sport now and it's slowly being lost from the mainstream channels. Started with football, then cricket and now the F1.

I simply refuse to pay £70 a month to watch popular Sport in HD. Problem is, Sky has so much financial clout while the BBC and ITV are making cutbacks due to reduced profit.

Not going to mention the whole Murdoch issue as I'm not sure it has much to do with it.

Disheartening and frustrating :S

£70? typical overreaction to anything Sky related.

£70 will get you everything. If your only interested in the sport, it would cost half that. Still not cheap, but at least you'll have loads of channels of sport to watch.

To be honest, the writing has been on the wall for F1 on the BBC for ages. The cost vs the viewing figures just don't add up.
