Next week i'm changing my Octavia Scout (1.8T) FL for a New VRS Diesel hatch, i have gear change recommendation on the Scout - do i get it on the VRS. By the way gutted to be saying farewell to the scout but build times are to long for the Scout and VRS are slightly better (in the tax free game!)

Yes you do get gear recommendation in the VRS, well certainly in the petrol manual which we have.

What I find spooky is that the VRS petrol is lower geared than the 1.8T and therefore I keep finding I want to change up from 6th gear also that the redline is 500 rpm lower in the VRS than the 1.8TSI so I end up bouncing it off the rev limiter. In fact in my 7 speed DSG both 6th and 7th gear are taller than the 6th gear in our FL TSI VRS.

Nice drive but then I got burnt off like I was standing still by a 911 Turbo so the only answer is to get on the bike.
