runs mint, pulls great. Few big launches to bed the clutch in. Handles like a new car on the new set up. mega impressed!

Firstly got to say a massive thank you you Gary and all the other pricks who helped out with the skoda. Wouldn't have gone back together so well?(or at all...) without the help. For anyone who needs something doing on any sort of car/van/bike, Gary is your man, located in Liverpool he's a top mech and plenty of users already know/use him. The website isn't up and running yet but give him a buzz, he's the one in the know and a lot cheaper than anywhere else!

Car now back together feels really tight, engine picks up a lot cleaner and it loves breaking traction in 3rd now which it never did before hand. Handling wise it's night and day, despite being on crap coilovers turns in really positive.

Work that was done

Rear ARB

Polybushed rear beam

New brake lines

Car fully undersealed

Engine out, box rebuilt

New Single mass flywheel and clutch conversion

Hi flow exhaust mani

Silicone hoses

Painted the motor and box and other bits and bobs

Deleted any uneeded vac hoses and bits

New scuttle panel

New Lambda sensor

Cleaned pick up pipe

R32 front ARB and polybushes

Full fluid and filter change

Bentley leather trimmed steering wheel

Graphics on the back door for a giggle....

Nuts bolts etc changed for new ones were needed

Amongst bits and bobs i've forgotten the car feel brand new!

Car got 4 wheel aligned since the subframes and bushes had been done. wasn't a million miles off but its spot on now and handles a treat! the only thing letting it down now is the cheapy coilovers. Planning to track the car a few times this year/go the ring so will be looking into a better set up. Will also be ordering an S3 upper strut as that the only thing the bays missing. On the look for track rims/tyres too, ideally some R32 Reps as they're an 8"wide rather than a genuine 7.5", or another set of Ch's

Binned off some more junk from the bay too

No adverse effects/CEL lights either.

Also had the wheels off to give them another coat of wax

All bufty.

When building the car back up the interior had gotten a little grubby so lent a vax and gave it a good going over. like new now!

Will be ordering a darker carpet once the weather clears up and binning the cream one off, only thing that lets it down interior wise.

Taxi decals have come off, was only for a giggle but may do another set for some shows, car got some funny looks/comments with them on...

More soon....

Nothing too exciting going on at the moment just lil **** bits to fix.

Drivers window reg

Brake switch

Power steering pump

Also got an S3 upper strut to fit, and still need to refurn the R32 wheels i've got for track. oh and give it some love as it hasn't had a wash since moving house!

I like!

Looks good chap. B)

Are they creations motorsport hoses you've got? They any good?

Is that the secondary air pump or something!?

Mines ticks like mad from that box? Is it not required? What side effects do you get from removal?

Thanks

It's the charcoal canister. I thought it was needed to store petrol vapour from the fuel then send it to the inlet to be burnt off in the engine. No idea what happens if its removed, presumably the petrol vapour has to go somewhere?

Where did you get the alignment done matey? Why/what underseal was used?

i hate that carbon filter thing. tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick....

the pic actually made me LOL ..|.

Any other pics/guide on removing it? what did you do with the pipes that were attached to it.?

LOve the car btw, very nice..sounds lush as well.

Looking and sounding well Lee :)

Yeah i thought there was something wrong with mine! Tick tick tick tick arghhhhhhh

they are indeed, cheap and cheerful, no issues at all

no effects whatsoever.

Just capped it off, read about it on vortex, theres a vent on the filler neck anyhow. No issues after weeks of it being removed.

Ball joint centre in liverpool. Just some generic underseal as the oem stuff had seem the topside of a speedbump a few times.

there is a guide somewhere but i can't for the life of me find it. just blocked the pipe to the tb and tucked the hose away to neaten it up. binned the canister and put a resistor in the wiring loom and stashed that away too.simples
