Aux input jack for Stereo

Featured Replies

I have a 06 1.9 TDI Elegance. It has an Aux option on the stereo so I thought I would see if I can plug anything into the car.

I have seen some threads here that talk about this input being in the Jumbo box in the central console but I can't see it. There is a cooler dial but that's it. nothing else.

Any ideas where else it might be located or is there any way of getting the stereo off easily to take a look at the back? Bearing in mind that the whole stereo / sat nav is integrated and I can't see any slots for the release keys like you would use on other models ( I had a 1.9 03 classic that was easy to get the stereo off )

There isn't an AUX input socket as standard. The DX nax unit is capable of supporting one, but you need to add it. There are various ways of doing it. I opted for a standard skoda socket in place of a blank switch next to the nav unit and a home-made loom.

If you're interested in going down that route, ill take some pics. There is also a thread somewhere in here showing the different solutions people have come up with.
