Hi lads I am on holiday in Wales with my superb everytime I leave the Haven park to drive somewhere it sends me up a very small road to get to the main road for my destination I have tried the 3 different options it gives me but they all send me up that road. There are 2 other ways I can go rather than the small road it sends me up. What do the 3 options/colours mean ?? Cheers Ray.

If you go into set up and you will find a selection of fastest shortest and most economical chose the fastest then try it cannot remember what one removes the narrow roads

Set your destination, then start driving up one of the better roads you know, Sat Nav will automatically re route you to your destination. Fastest route should use the best roads but don't rely on Sat Nav on remote country roads.

The way I get round this problem (pun quite intentional) is as above if it's a short term issue, but if longer term there is usually an option on most satnavs to set a road or area to be avoided.

I think on the Columbus it's something like Route > Manage Blocked Routes > Add excluded street section / area (or something like that)

To be honest satnavs that have this habit of sending people up narrow lanes because its 10metres shorter or 0m 05s quicker are annoying.

Was just packing away my luggage ready to drive to Fishguard wen I closed de boot to open it as a hatch and de fookin car locked with keys inside de boot jezus I'm sum dope had to break de small window in de back passenger side to get into de boot it took about 20 blows with a wheel wrench sum tough glass. Do any 1 no does all glass get covered on fully comp or just windscreens. I have full claims protection also. On de ferry home to Waterford at the Mo. Ray.

maybe you need a new thread matey!

I would have thought windscreen excess is for exactly that, rather than glass.

If you had KESSY your car would unlock itself.

How wen de key/fob is in de boot ?

Think he means, that with KESSY the car wouldn't have locked in the first place, as the "key" is close to the car.

All glass should be covered under your fully comp insurance, ( despite it being refered to as windscreen cover).

My Volvo won't lock when one of the keys is inside, aren't Skoda the same?

This doesn't help the OP unfortunately.

You should have just called the AA

Not tested this theory but there is a point there.

If I open my (Combi) with the boot button, open and take something from the boot and then close it, the car relocks itself automatically. Even if I'm stood by the boot (Not Kessy) so would guess it'd quite happily lock the keys inside itself.

Might want to remember that peeps. :smirk:

Ah, and yes, another thread maybe lol!

There are lots of companies like this one http://www.lockcity.co.uk/yell.htm that come out and get you back in your car without reverting to smashing windows. They are not cheap, but get you back into your car and they can provide a replacement key, if necessary.

You could have also got a friend to bring the spare key to you

Try this:

Call a friend who has access to your spare keys. Get them to repeatedly press the unlock button next to the mobiles microphone whilst you walk round the car holding your mobile close to the car.

This method managed to unlock my mk1 octavia when I tested it. And no the remote was not in range of the car!

No - you cannot do this.

This has been debunked on every single website out there, just Google it.

The frequencies don't work out correctly.

Got window fixed through insurance this morning

I've only done this once. I was at home, so spare key got me out of bother.

I now keep the key in a pocket when closing the tailgate.

Phil.
