Maybe off to annoy Nissan owner club!

Featured Replies

Been looking for replacement for Octy that's going in Dec and stumbled across the new qashqui +2 tekna.

Really impressed by it

Anyone have any experience of one?

If I do buy it I'll have to annoy you lot AND them so my post count will half

No crying Bryan!!

I have an uncle who owns one - Uncle Brian. He's into model railways and has recently had his dentures sorted out.

Anyway, he has experienced suspension issues and is on his third set of shocks. Apart from that it's been a good car.

Brian also wears slip on shoes and elasticated trousers.

Just remember that underneath it's a Renault. Just don't expect it to be reliable!

Rob.

At least it isnt as Fugly as a Datsun Joke! Those things seem to be breeding. Are they giving them away when you spend £50 at Tesco or summat?

what a shame you are leaving

bye then

What about the Yeti?

Why would anyone who doesn't live in Washington buy a Cashcow?

Quite popular round this way too. Not really sure why.

Echo the Yeti comment. Tried one yet?

I haven't looked at a Yeti properly to be honest.

The one thing that puts me off is, (quite sad really!!) is that the back seats don't fold flat.

I think you can remove them but that doesn't make much sense to me really.

Sometimes I may need seats after unloading and they are no good sat in my office sixty miles away!

Some one give us a good reason to add to my list because I really do love my Octy and the Skoda brand.

Oh and annoying Brisky members!

Maybe not off to annoy them now....good deals on antara and Kuga at minute.. Sorry to disappoint Betsy!

Is a Scout not big enough for what you want?

NOOOOOOOOOOO, Don't buy an Antara!

My Dad's had one on lease since 2009. It's one of the dreariest cars EVER!... On top of that the tail gates RUSTING with no paint damage and it had to go off for a fortnight while the gear box was re built..

It runs rough but the local dealer don't have the right computer to talk to it..

The alarms on the excitable front.

The rides worse than my Fabia vRS (which I'll never understand when you take into account the ride height and profile of the tyres)

In all seriousness... Don't buy an Antara... no matter how many toys they shoe horn in...

The seats DO fold flat though... Including the front passenger seat.. but they're a funny shape for load lugging.

They drive ok.. not bad.. But you can't excuse a bad gear box and rusty rear panel in 2 years flat!

Keep away from Antara then, wondered why they ars so cheap!

Trying to find a good lease deal is a nightmare at minute.

I've got a liking for the Seat Exeo sport tech so I'm gonna concentrate on finding a deal on one of them.

The Antara is a re badged 'Daewoo' 4x4, being sold at a slightly inflated price by Pauxhall stealers. Its the Lidl own brand baked beans of the 4x4 world.

lol - I live in Washington, yet have never owned a Nissan Vehicle....

Have a Customer with a Puke - Never mind shocks, she's on her second whole car! - 1st was sent back after 10 weeks of mayhem!

The one thing that puts me off is, (quite sad really!!) is that the back seats don't fold flat.

What about a Superb Estate 4x4? - No need to fold the seats at all! - as the boot is HUGE!

No, but I do whistle occasionally.

Dont go insulting Lidl beans, I know a lot of people who prefert hem to Heinz

Personally I don't see what people see in Qashqai's They seem to be everywhere and there's 4 brand new ones on my street alone. The Nissan Juke is the same every other car seems to be one. Yeti or Superb would be my choices

Ever thought that the reason that they are everywhere is that they are, in fact, quite good?

It's not as if they're a big fleet seller, which would over-inflate the numbers on the road, unless anyone knows different

Think it maybe down to that a lot are mobility cars. Next doors is and the one across the road is. They are fairly cheap too so this could be a reason. Had a quick Google for reliability and it's not brilliant.

Hmmm wonder if my Octogenarian has the same DNA as your old mans Antara lol certainly the same illnesses.

To be fair mate we cut about in rebadged Vw's and Audi's but not inflated prices though i'll give you that lol.

Key difference is also that the Daewoo 4x4 isn't a quality product to start with....

In which case they actually are fleet cars, despite a claim to the contrary. Also, IME mobility cars tend to be goodish on depreciation rather than actually good to drive.
